Guidelines
Failure to follow Guidelines will result in automatic veto
Snow Dragon Publishing llc (S.D.P.) is excited to serve you. Please read and follow the guidelines bellow.
Acceptable: S. D. P. reaches a wide range of readers. We prefer material remains within a suitable range for pre-teens and up.
- Please prepare a proper Query email with a short bio, story description, and *attach the first 3 chapters to email as a Word.doc or other document. *If the chapters are pasted into the email they will not be reviewed and query will be vetoed.
- Acceptable genres are as follow: action, adventure, fantasy, fiction, suspense, etc. (More are acceptable, this is the short list. If you have questions on acceptable genres see Contact Us).
- All stories must be completed and preferably edited before being submitted. Though we offer editing services, it is best to have your own proof-reading done before submission to ensure best results in review process.
- After submission please wait 3-5 days before inquiring about the query. We prefer you not send additional emails, but in some cases query emails have been lost or sent to spam folders. These are rare instances but sometimes do happen. If you have not heard back in over 10 business days, (2 weeks), feel free to email to inquire after the query. If you have not heard back in 3 months assume we all have been abducted by aliens and try a different publication platform.
Unacceptable: S. D. P. Does not publish stories with Adult Content.
- There cannot be any mature content, (i.e., graphic descriptions of adult situations, nudity, gore, erotica, etc.), subtle suggestions of such things are sometimes acceptable.
- If story is unfinished or unedited it will be rejected.
- If query is incomprehensible, messy, or if chapters are pasted into query email, will result in automatic veto.
- If you are a spammer or suspected of being a phisher. We aren't the best phish to catch, trust me. Try a better company for your schemes.
- If you come across as rude and/or incorrigible through any and all correspondence. Is this rule petty? Yes. But if it is an issue then you too are petty and will not be dealt with.
When your story is accepted you will be contacted and taken through the next steps. Do not inquire about what comes next in your query email.
